Nicoa Coach:

sometimes don't you just need a quick moment of inspiration. Or maybe you just need a moment of caffeinated contemplation to reflect on life. That's the idea behind my weekly coffee with Nicola espresso shots, I'll be sharing short jolts of inspiration in each clip, in addition to my longer Coffee with Nicoa interview episodes, make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot, or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you. Hey, everybody, it's Nicoa. This is your espresso shot for the week. It's a quick one, because I just want to give you some permission here to be okay. I know that we've spent a lot of time in the last few years, especially after the pandemic, talking about being it's okay to not be okay. It's okay to not be okay. And it is okay to not be okay. And I highly recommend that you get the support you need when you're not okay. And I seriously mean that don't sit around not being okay, and not get the support you need. And that looks like a counselor that looks like a coach that looks like talking to your friend that looks like talking to a parent, a teacher or somebody that you can really get some support from but do not sit alone in not being okay. Now, for those of you who are okay. It's okay to because I have a hard time sometimes allowing myself to be okay with being okay. Because a lot of the time I am extremely happy. And there are moments where I will even feel this energy inside of me that's like, like that feeling you get when you think about the end of the universe. Like that feeling. When you're you're overwhelmed with joy, that feeling that is like I'm going to cry, because it's just so perfect and so beautiful. It's okay to feel that as a matter of fact, it's really important that you do, maybe this conversation needs to be it's okay to feel all the feels. It's okay. I've told the story before where I remember after my divorce laying in the bed and crying watching, this is us the TV show if you haven't seen it, great show family dynamics. It just made me very emotional. And at the same time, I could hear that voice over my head saying, Wow, I'm so excited about my life and what's next. It was really even more powerful when I began to reflect on the fact that I could carry both of those emotions simultaneously. I could still be excited about my life, and at the same time, sit in a space of despair and sadness and grief. And that move. I mean, that TV show really triggered it for me. It's okay to be okay, though. And the truth is, even though we talked about, it's okay not to be okay. I really invite you to spend the 8020 rule being okay, really apply the 8020 rule 80% of the time, try to be okay. And when you're 20% of the time, not okay. That's okay, too. But the reason that's critical is because if you want to manifest a life that's fulfilling, you got to look for where life is okay? Where the mind goes, energy flows. So it's okay to be okay. You don't have to dim your light and next to somebody who's not okay. As a matter of fact, this morning, I had my beautiful friend Susie came to visit me. And she said that there was a story about another friend of ours who wanted to tell her some good news, but Susie, at the time, was going through a really bad time. And her friend said, Well, I really want to tell you something, but I know you're going through a hard time. So I don't want to. I don't want to tell you about my good thing. And Susie, the beautiful soul. That is my friend Susie, she said to our other friend, of course, I want to hear your good news. Why would I not want to hear your good news. As a matter of fact, when your friends are not doing well, that might be exactly what they need is to hear that you're happy and that you're doing well. And for those of you who are still sitting in those spaces of compare despair, set that down and sit in the joy with another person. And if you're the one having the joy, it's okay to share it. Hey, isn't that what social media is for? All right, guys, I'm sending you off this week to feel all the fields and remind yourself it's okay to be okay make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you.
