Espresso Shot 12: Life Can Suck!
This Espresso Shot is really no surprise. Nicoa takes a moment to just acknowledge that yes, LIFE CAN SUCK sometimes! Even a Life By Design! Take a moment to reflect with her about sitting with what SUCKS and then figure out a way to move on... knowing that 'feeling good' matters more than sitting in what SUCKS in order to find satisfaction in your life! REMEMBER, it's not that you go there, it's how long do you stay there!

sometimes don't you just need a quick moment of inspiration. Or maybe you just need a moment of caffeinated contemplation to reflect on life. That's the idea behind my weekly coffee with Nicola espresso shots. I'll be sharing short jolts of inspiration in each clip. In addition to my longer Coffee with Nicoa interview episodes, make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot, or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you. Good morning, everybody. This is Nicoa with coffee with Nicoa. This is your weekly espresso shot coming to you from the banks of Whiskey Creek today. And I just want to talk about how much life can suck. Yeah, I know, you know, life sucks sometimes. The other day, I overdrew my business account financially, that sucked. I also gotten an argument with my husband last week, that sucked, I had to pay $1,800 for a repairman repair on my Volvo, the wheel plus the rim to be replaced. Cost $1,800. That sucked. It got really cold in the second week of March, after we'd had 80 degree days, three or four times in the previous weeks. I thought that sucked. Yeah, there's a whole bunch of shit in your life that can suck. And you can talk about it all day long with everybody that you come in contact with. It sucks. And in those moments where you can't look away, you can only see what sucks, then sit with it, acknowledge it, validate it, and then stop talking about it and move on. Because ultimately, you're either going to commiserate all day long are you going to figure out a way to move forward to towards what you actually want to feel versus the suckiness I have this real intolerance for suckiness. Right and victimhood and martyrdom. And woe is me them, which can sometimes be a challenge for me. And it probably has something to do with not wanting to feel those things and not wanting to feel bad. When I was a young child, I probably felt that a lot and a lot of circumstances and then we'll do everything I could to get out of that feeling. So I acknowledge that sometimes when things suck or are stressful, I don't stay there probably long enough. But maybe I'm also in a space of learning. And my intuition has kicked in. And I've begun to realize that feeling good matters more than sitting in what sucks. Feeling good, matters more to me. And for life to create the outcomes that I crave than sitting in what sucks. So my intolerance, if I could give myself a break, maybe, maybe my intolerance is really just an innate knowing and innate knowing that, hey, these are the facts. They're not what I'd like, how will I react to them? Can I respond to them in a way that feels better? And can I move forward out of the suckiness? Is it an innate knowing that everything actually always does work out? Even when it doesn't? It's just an experience. I'm the only one who can make it mean anything. So am I going to spend all day long talking about how it sucks? Or how stressed out I am? Or how much money I wish I had? Or am I going to step into a space of Well, I'm really glad I had the insurance cover that that replacement of that wheel and it only cost me $500. Boy am I pleased that when I did see that overdrawn account, I was able to write a check and cover it from a different account. Boy, was I happy when the weather shifted to sunny and 65. And I was still able to sit outside in the sunshine even though it was cooler than it had been the weeks before. You know, it's up to me to shift that story out of what sucks in life into, hey, what am I grateful for? What do I appreciate what's good Now what makes me feel better. So this week, when you find yourself yourself stuck in what sucks or you're overly stressed out. Notice how much time and energy you're giving that topic and try to find a way to move forward, shift through it and find something that makes you feel better. That's your caffeinated espresso jolt of insight this morning. I hope it's helpful. I am looking forward to my day and I hope you will too. I am really excited Did that I get to have the life experiences that give me all the fields, all the good ones? All the bad ones all the sucky ones and all the joy filled ones, all the happy ones and all the satisfying ones. So you can't have one without the other is kind of the takeaway today. Where do you want to focus your energy this week? Stay tuned because we've got more coming up on coffee with Nicoa.
