Good morning, everybody. This is Nicoa Welcome to your espresso shot, I'm getting getting ready to tell you the number one thing that you need to know to live a life by design that you don't need a vacation from. It is a state of being and it's called awareness. You can call it consciousness. You can call it that observer of self, right? But it is awareness. And I want to take it even further that not it's not just an awareness of your surroundings of where you're standing physically in your world. But it is an awareness of you. And we've been talking this season a lot about who are you, and what's a state of being, like gratitude or joy, we talk about emotions, but I want to have you step back and create a space of awareness that you can then create choice from, right. So awareness of self becomes a superpower honestly. So let's think about it. So you're in a grocery store and someone is being rude, right, and they, they maybe cut you off with their cart or something and you have a reaction, your reaction will be determined, the level of your reaction will be determined with how aware you are of yourself, and how confident you are with yourself. So if someone does something rude to you like that cuts you off, or their cart jumps in front of you, and you've been waiting in line for a long time, the more aware you are a view, the easier it is for you to allow that person to simply be without their behavior triggering you to have a reaction. Now, you might say, well, I don't get triggered anymore. I'm older now. And again, I don't get triggered. And I would just let that person be the jerk and not worry about it. Well, how many people would you tell the story to afterwards? How not triggered Are you? Because this takes some real awareness. This takes some real practice in order for you to not be Hmm. Why do we allow other people's behavior to trigger us? Because we're projecting onto them? Because they did something that made us uncomfortable that made us frustrated. Okay, so then instead of focusing on them this week, I want you to focus on you. Wow, what can I make that mean? What am I making it mean? That That guy just cut me off in the grocery store line? And is being what I I perceive as being rude? Oh, I'm making it mean rude. Okay, why do I think that's rude? Well, I was raised that you're supposed to be polite, and everybody gets in line and in our country. Nobody cuts. I want you that curious. Because who is the one that is noticing? Who is the noticer you are the true you. The habitual, you just had a knee jerk reaction and wants to say something to that guy. To see the game we're playing here, this space that we're creating, as if you had put your hand straight out in front of you, and created this no man's land between the palms of your hands, like Stop in the name of love, which is a really good thing to think of in those moments. Your arms are straight out palm straight up that space between the palm of your hand. And you your body, your mind. That's no man's land. That's choice. That my friend is awareness. And it is in that awareness that you get to choose. What do I choose in this moment. And if you know anything about energy leadership, you've got six different choices. And you're at level seven, when you're in that space. You can choose to be a victim, you can choose to be a fighter, you can choose to forgive the guy for being a jerk and judging him just a little bit, but waiting and not making any big deal out of it. You could choose to be the caregiver and back your card up and say, Hey, man, go ahead. Yeah, no problem. Maybe you choose to just change lanes. A win for you is to go a little bit quicker today, because you're running late. So you go around the guy and go into another lane. Or you take a big deep breath and you don't make it mean anything. And you redirect your thoughts. That my friend is awareness that is the superpower. And you don't have to be 85 years old to know that. Go teach your child that right now.
