That's the idea behind my weekly coffee with Nicola espresso shots, I'll be sharing short jolts of inspiration in each clip, in addition to my longer Coffee with Nicoa interview episodes, make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot, or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you. Hey, guys, it's Nicoa coming to you from Whiskey Creek, I'm sitting here in my office, enjoying my day off, I take Tuesday's off. I don't know if you know that. But it has been a very nice ritualistic practice of mine over the past couple of years. And I really have to stay present in order to enjoy it. And that's what I want to talk about today, the past, the present, and the future. Now I know what you're going to say Nicoa, if you say that's why they call it the present to be here now, because it is a gift that I'm going to throw up a little bit in my mouth and turn this podcast off. So I won't say that. But I just said that. Anyway, I want you to think about how being present in a state of satisfaction helps create a future state of satisfaction. Now, what typically happens is we get really caught up in what is something goes wrong, something somebody upsets us, something doesn't go the way we expected it to go. And that creates dissatisfaction right we are dissatisfied, we are not happy, we are disturbed. And it creates over time a catabolic way of being that yes, oh by the way, can create dis ease. So when we are not at ease in a state of satisfaction, we're literally sending cortisol shots into our body, like an epi pen to the thigh. You're sending this stress hormone that's going to begin to erode your cellular makeup and your way of being we know it's true in the moment, because you are dis satisfied. And I was listening to this Tarot reading. Yeah, lately, I have been somewhat obsessed with Tarot readings on YouTube, listening not only to my own, but all the people in my life that I want to know what their horoscope is telling them, and how that would enter interact with me. Those people who do that are called cross watchers. Like, I think they're talking to me. Anyway, I was listening to this one recording today. And this quote of wife of one of the cards that she pulled came up, the one who is dissatisfied in the current moment, will never be satisfied in the future. Give yourself permission to be content right here, right now. Let me repeat that. And then let's dissect it. The one who is dissatisfied in the current moment, will never be satisfied in the future. Give yourself permission to be content right here, right now. Now let's back up because the assumptions that people don't remember that they're actually they don't live under the assumption that will actually help them create a future of satisfaction. And that assumption is, is that the world is happening for me and from me and through me, not to me. And therefore that means that when you are in an ISness, you are sitting here looking at a situation you are overwhelmed, you are frustrated, you are dis satisfied. That situation and that circumstance is from past thought you created that. Yeah, no, don't give yourself a hard time here. I'm just telling you. This is kind of how it works. This is how it works. So my current life experience comes from my past thinking, the emotional meaning I gave my past experiences and my language, right. So what I say about my life, from the past, creates my life in the future. Everything is energy and you are using your words as a wand. So you are manifesting and creating and casting spells with every word you say. So yeah, when you wake up one morning and your circumstance sucks. It probably is because you had thoughts in the past of it. It's going to suck in the future or something's going to go wrong. I am worried I am upset. I am afraid I am scared. Let me break it down further for you. When we are in a situation, we are likely to either be in the past, in the future or in the present moment. So if we're ruminating about the past, that's typically like this sorrow, this sadness, this disappointment or regret, that's a catabolic charge. Now we also reminisce, ruminate about the past and remember and celebrate the past. So you can have a positive experience, don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to help you overcome those moments where you are dissatisfied. So you're ruminating about the past, that's typically sadness or overwhelm. If you are thinking about the future, that's typically fear, uncertainty, and doubt. And if you are somehow suffering in the moment, it's because you're looking at what is and you're judging it, because you were somehow attached to it being a different way. And therefore your focus is only on what is not what you wanted, in that moment. Now, last but not least, I want you to ponder the concept of coming from a space of fear, or love. And if I come back into the moment, and I can observe myself judging the moment, am I coming at this moment? With my observation? From a space of fear? Judgment, disappointment, sadness from the past, or fear, uncertainty and doubt from the future? Or can I sit right here in this moment, and just look at what is and choose a positive perception? Can I just decide, it is what it is. And I'm the only one who can make anything mean anything. When you are in the present, and you find satisfaction instead of dis satisfaction, then you are casting that spell for that future satisfaction. So there's three places to assess the past, the future, and the present. And when you unwrap that, there, I referenced that you know what I'm talking about. When you unwrap that or some people say unpack that, you recognize that you are the common denominator of your present moment. You are the common denominator of your present moment. Will you be able to find satisfaction so that you can attract more of it in your future? Or will you decide to be dissatisfied? Yes, my friend, you are that powerful. You always have a choice.
