Nicoa Coach:

sometimes don't you just need a quick moment of inspiration. Or maybe you just need a moment of caffeinated contemplation to reflect on life. That's the idea behind my weekly coffee with Nicola espresso shots. I'll be sharing short jolts of inspiration in each clip. In addition to my longer Coffee with Nicoa interview episodes, make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot, or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you. Good Monday morning, everybody. It's Nicoa coming to you from the banks of Whiskey Creek. I noticed that a lot of my espresso shots I say coming to you live. But I realized now that we're on this platform, I guess I'm not live anymore. I'm alive, though. So here we go.I'm excited to talk about my favorite question to ask my clients. And for those of you who have been my coaching clients, you know that I asked this question at the end of every coaching session. It is a rare coaching session that I forget to ask this question. But I have shown over the years, and I've been coaching now for 15years, that this is the most difficult question. And 95% of the time, my clients hesitate. They're not used to the question. They question the question. What do you mean? So what is the question? The question is this. Before, this is how I set the stage, before we wrap up? What's one thing you'd like to celebrate about yourself?Oh, oh, that's a hard one says the first client. Client number two says What do you mean, like related to what we just talked about? Or related to me? Or? Or my job? Or? Oh, I don't know.Nicoa? I don't? I don't know how to answer that. Why that that's difficult for me. Sometimes there's such a long pause, that I have to interject. And I might say, Hey, we're just going to take one moment to celebrate you anything about you anything at all, I don't care. If you say I love my hair, and you want to celebrate how beautiful you feel. Or if you want to celebrate the new shoes you just bought, I don't care. Let's just celebrate something about you. Now, why is this important? And why do I always ask the question? The challenge with a lot of people that come to me is that it really isn't about that next big job, it's about not feeling enough, where they are in their life, and feeling dissatisfaction and really struggling with blaming their circumstances, their environment, their partner, their history, their past their body, for whatever reason, and not finding fulfillment. So one of the first steps to finding that fulfillment on this journey we call life is figuring out how to celebrate, and how to enjoy the journey, and enjoy ourselves and celebrating ourselves is the first route of being able to celebrate your life. So that's why it's a really critical coaching question for me. And I ask it often. But let's talk about celebration, and how that's been fostered in many people's lives.I read a post the other day on Instagram that said, don't tell them about the big trip. Don't tell them about the big book, don't tell them about the big job. Don't tell them about the big project. Don't tell people too soon you will tell the wrong people. Keep it to yourself, and then you'll be successful. My comment, and I think this was also because it was like five in the morning, I woke up early and I was scrolling Instagram. My comment to that was that is total BS.That is complete BS. That is not how you foster happiness, satisfaction and peace in your life.Make sure to subscribe so you never miss an espresso shot or a full length Coffee with Nicoa interview created just for you.
